There is a new Resource Type in Course Package called 'WEB CAST'

What is WEBCAST?

A podcast is a multimedia file (Audio or Video) that is distributed over the Internet for playback on personal computers. Like 'radio', or "TV", audio or video information is broadcasted to one or many users. Users only need to 'tune in' to the appropiate course package.

The WEBCast function in Edulearn offer the option for the podcast author to allow the users to have the ability to direct download or stream the content.

Where is WEBCAST?

To access this feature, simply go to:-

1. Course Packaging > New Course >
2. Under 'Resource Type' Choose WEBCast'
3. Upload a Media file
Supported Audio files are (.mp3 files & .wma (windows media audio))
Supported Video FIles are (.wmv (windows media))
4. Type the description in the HTML Editor
5. Check 'Allow Download' should you want to allow your students to download the podcast.
